Referring students to The Learning Centre

If you are a UNSW staff member, you can refer individual students who you feel would benefit from additional academic skills development to The Learning Centre. You can refer them to an individual consultation or a workshop (or both). It is a good idea to explain to the students why you are referring them, so that they know the kind of assistance they need. It is also helpful to inform The Learning Centre that you are referring students to us and why. Contact us here.

Staff can also refer students to our online academic skills workshop series. This self-access workshop series is delivered via Moodle. Please contact Pam Mort for further information.

Supervisors of postgraduate research students may want to refer their students to one of the short courses on advanced academic writing or oral communication, available through our workshop program.

Postgraduate research students may also benefit from the thesis writing support program. The program aims to provide students with feedback on their writing, assistance with any specific writing problems, and suggestions for continuing development.
